‘Don’t Cry,’ Axl, the party’s over

FORGET the November rain. A party for Axl Rose got shut down by a cold, cold August downpour, Page Six hears. Sources tell us that a private Guns N’ Roses after-party for the legendary frontman, at Nolita bar the Mulberry, raged till almost sunrise yesterday, only shutting down when a deluge caused the subterranean spot to flood. While the soggy surprise put an end to the bash, we hear nothing was damaged. And before spirits were dampened, the rocker — whose band played a three-hour set at MetLife Stadium — was in paradise city at the bar. We’re told Rose was initially shown into the spot’s private space, the Whisper Room, but quickly left the secluded area. “He didn’t want to be in VIP, he wanted to be in the party,” said one reveler. Rose was spotted on the dance floor while DJ David Katz spun tunes and the “November Rain” wailer was seen carrying around a custom bottle of Don Julio 1942 with his name engraved on it. “Avatar” actor Sam Worthington was among the partiers.
