Cuomo finds amore abroad

“THE boyfriend” is going to be the son-inlaw. We hear that Mariah Kennedy Cuomo — the 28-year-old daughter of former Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Kerry Kennedy —is engaged to longtime beau Tellef Lundevall.

Mariah is vacationing with her twin sisters, Cara and Michaela, 26, and their dad in Italy for Thanksgiving. But while in Sicily, sources told us, Mariah was surprised by Lundevall, 33, who flew in to propose.

Said an insider, “The smitten couple got engaged in Milazzo, Sicily, on land that used to be owned by Cuomo matriarch Matilda Raffa Cuomo’s family, but has since been converted to a beautiful nature preserve.”

The source added of the scene: “As the sun came out after a rainy morning,” Lundevall led Mariah to a natural local landmark cove called the Pool of Venus “and shocked his brideto-be when he got down on one knee!”

Photos obtained by Page Six show Lundevall popping the question in front of the breathtaking backdrop. The photos also show Mariah beaming with her engagement ring (below).

Sources told us that Lundevall properly asked his future father-in-law for his daughter’s hand in marriage. A family friend told us Cuomo is “over the moon for Mariah, and couldn’t be happier to officially welcome Tellef into the family,” but jokingly added, “so long as they stay in New York after they get married.”

You’ll recall Lundevall became a household figure of sorts during the height of the COVID19 pandemic, when he moved into the governor’s mansion with the Cuomo family, and was routinely referred to as “the boyfriend” during Cuomo’s infamous daily briefings.

The founder of Accelerated Digital Media, Lundevall was previously on the football team at Brown, where the couple met. They’ve been dating for more than five years, and recently relocated to NYC after Mariah graduated from Northwestern University business school. She’s the founder and CEO of Socrates Social, a social media advisory firm for execs.
