NFL: Vikings release RB Cook

The Vikings are parting ways with star running back Dalvin Cook for salary cap savings after his fourth consecutive season surpassing the 1,000-yard rushing mark. The team announced the move Friday, a day after Cook was informed he was being released, a person familiar with the team’s decision told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

Free agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins will visit the Patriots next week, the NFL Network reported. The five-time Pro Bowl selection is scheduled to meet with the Titans on Sunday.

Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has reached an agreement to sell his stake in the club to 49ers Enterprises, the second-tier English soccer side said.

49ers Enterprises, the investment arm of the NFL franchise 49ers, have been a shareholder at Leeds, recently relegated from the Premier League, since their initial investment in May 2018. The 49ers had increased their stake to 44 percent over the last few years and acquired the 56 percent owned by Radrizzani’s Aser Ventures.
