NBA: Lakers top Timberwolves

Anthony Davis scored 17 of his 38 points in the fourth quarter and had 17 rebounds to lift the Lakers past the Timberwolves, 123-111, in Minneapolis and leapfrog them into seventh place in the crowded Western Conference playoff race.

In Philadelphia, Joel Embiid had 25 points and 12 rebounds as the 76ers beat the Raptors, 117-110.

In Charlotte, N.C., Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan each scored 23 points and the Bulls won, 121-91, over the Hornets to maintain the last spot in the in the Eastern Conference play-in tournament.

In Boston, Jayson Tatum had 39 points and 11 assists and the Celtics defeated the Jazz, 122-114.
