Not wedded to plan

WHILE Nicola Peltz’s billionaire father, Nelson, is suing her axed wedding planners over a $159,000 deposit in a petty-seeming lawsuit, another of her almost-planners, Preston Bailey, is speaking out. Celebrity party guru Bailey — who put together Donald and Melania Trump’s wedding, as well as techie Sean Parker’s medievalinspired nuptials to Alexandra Lenas — was the first planner brought on for actress Nicola’s wedding to Brooklyn

Beckham. Bailey was hired in April 2021 and gave notice he would need to step away in late February 2022 — 11 months into the job and one month before the big day. He tells us that he was simply overbooked and couldn’t execute the extravagant ceremony of the young couple’s dreams. “I was overcommitted,” Bailey told Page Six exclusively. “I couldn’t deliver to the [level of ] quality I was used to.” Nelson is now suing the planners hired to replace Bailey, who had about six weeks to pull off the three-day affair.
