Fordham falls in playoffs

DURHAM, N.H. — Dylan Laube ran for three touchdowns and pulled in an 87yard touchdown pass to lead New Hampshire to a 52-42 win over Fordham in a firstround game in the FCS playoffs on Saturday.

The Wildcats (9-3) will face undefeated and sixthranked Holy Cross, in the second round on Saturday.

Fordham’s Tim DeMorat, the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year, threw for 330 yards on 25-for-41 passing, with three touchdowns, but was picked off on backto-back possessions in the first half. Fotis Kokosioulis had two short touchdowns for the Rams (9-3) and caught 14 passes for 132 yards.

Max Brosmer, who threw for 351 yards and three TDs, dumped a short pass to Laube on the Wildcats’ second play from scrimmage. Laube won a foot race to the corner, then raced down the sideline for his 87-yard touchdown — high-fiving his blocking back at the 20 on his way to the end zone.
