In San Antonio, LeBron James scored a season-high 39 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Lakers escaped with a 143138 victory over the Spurs.

Russell Westbrook suffered a deep cut at his hairline in the third quarter and was bleeding profusely after taking a right elbow from the Spurs’ Zach Collins. Westbrook was assessed a technical foul after confronting Collins and the Spurs center was ejected after a video review.
