METS: Scherzer has been dominant since returning from an IL stint on July 5, going 3-1 with a 1.36 ERA in eight starts, including 67 strikeouts in 53 innings. That stretch includes two starts against Atlanta, against whom Scherzer has allowed just one run in 14 innings (0.64 ERA) and struck out 20 with zero walks.
BRAVES: Odorizzi has been living dangerously in his first two starts with Atlanta since being traded from Houston, having allowed 19 base runners over 8 2/3 innings. On Aug. 6 at Citi Field, he gave up three runs (two earned), six hits and three walks over 4 2/3 innings in an 8-5 Mets victory.
