Another death in paradise

An American tourist was discovered dead at the same Sandals resort where three Americans died earlier this year, according to a report.

The tourist stayed at the Sandals Emerald Bay Resort in Great Exuma, the Bahamas, NBC News reported.

A preliminary probe found the man, who appeared to be in his 70s, had COVID-related issues prior to his death, the Royal Bahamas Police Force told NBC. An official cause of death has not been determined, but foul play was not suspected.

In May, three Americans died from carbon monoxide poisoning at the resort, police said in June.

Tennessee couple Michael Phillips, 68, and Robbie Phillips, 65, and Florida resident Vincent Chiarella, 64, died as a “result of asphyxiation due to carbon monoxide poisoning.”
