DON RAID DISSING MATCH

Reader George Molé makes a point about the raid on Donald Trump’s home. He writes: “Lost in the speculation about what the FBI hoped to find is that the most important purpose, from the perspective of Trump’s enemies, was psychological.

“The raid was a power and dominance move, a psy-op, intended to send the message that Trump will not receive the deference and respect traditionally accorded to a former president. Therefore, he really doesn’t hold that status, other than in a narrow technical sense.

“We’ll go into his home and rummage through his wife’s undergarments when we please, his enemies were saying, and his powerlessness and that of his supporters will be clear.

“This is the ultimate humiliation of a political figure whom the establishment wants reduced to nothingness. It will only be topped when they finally raid his home and take him out in handcuffs, which I believe is in the works.

“On the plus side, nothing could better motivate the good people of America to take their country back. If it’s not too late.”
