Qns. pol’s ‘pot squatter’ squawk
Bernadette Hogan and Bruce Golding
A City Council member angrily confronted a man leaving what she called a “known squatter house” in her Queens district — only to have him curse her out and blow pot smoke in her face, according to a video clip.
The 1-minute, 38-second recording shows Republican Vickie Paladino holding her cellphone as the unidentified man backed out of a driveway in a burgundy sedan.
“Can I help you with something?” the driver asks.
“Yeah, this is a disgrace,” Paladino says, pointing at the College Point house.
“Yeah? Go f--k yourself,” he responds — and she replies in kind, telling the man, “Go f--k yourself. How’s that?”
“OK,” he says, puffing on what appears to be a large joint, before getting out and approaching Paladino.
“Why don’t you do me a favor and get the f--k over there? Because this is mine,” the man says.
“Whattaya got in your mouth?” Paladino asks.
He takes a drag and steps forward while exhaling a stream of smoke at her. “Weed,” he says. Property records show the home is owned by Wells Fargo.
