Gunmen kill 1, hurt 5
One man was slain and five other people were wounded in shootings across the city Friday and Saturday, the NYPD said.
A 44-year-old man was found shot in the neck at the NYCHA Mill Brook Houses in The Bronx at around 6:30 p.m. Saturday, cops said.
He was transported to Lincoln Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The victim’s name was withheld pending family notification.
No suspect description was available.
Shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday, a 34-year-old man was shot in the face by an unknown assailant in East New York, Brooklyn, cops said. The victim was in stable condition.
About 20 minutes earlier, a 21-year-old man was shot in the hip when he tried to get into a Norwood, Bronx, house party, cops said.
At 12:15 a.m. Saturday, two people were shot in the 4/5/6 line subway station at East 125th Street and Lexington Avenue in East Harlem.
At 11:15 p.m. Friday, an 18year-old man was shot in the thigh at the Moore Houses in the Mott Haven section of The Bronx.
And at 10 p.m. Friday, a wheelchair-bound man opened fire on a crowd of people outside a well-trafficked Manhattan deli, but no one was hit, according to police sources.
