99% of staff’s pol donations went to Dems

Ninety-nine percent of online political contributions made by Twitter employees in 2021 went to Democrats, Federal Election Commission data reveal.

Twitter staff made 561 contributions this year through ActBlue, the Democratic-linked payment processor, compared with eight made via its Republican counterpart, WinRed.

“The 1 percent shocks. They have somebody who actually gave to the GOP. I’m stunned,” cracked Dan Gainor of the Media Research Center, a nonprofit conservative watchdog.

The 561 contributions made through ActBlue in 2021 totaled $14,848.98.

Several Twitter execs, meanwhile, wrote large personal checks to Democrats, the FEC data show.

Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal gave the legal maximum of $5,800 to Rep. Conor Lamb (Pa.).

Seksom Suriyapa, former head of corporate development, gave $5,800 to Rep. Ro Khanna (Calif.).

Staff attorney Evan Stern gave $2,900 to Sens. Mark Kelley (Ariz.) and Raphael Warnock (Ga.), plus $2,900 to John Fetterman, a Democrat running for Senate in Pennsylvania.

The largest donation to a Republican, $250 from former finance VP Rich Sullivan, went to anti-Trump Rep. Adam Kinzinger (Ill.)

Twitter did not return a request for comment.
