Weird BUT true

Opera singer, or protocol droid?

A bust of famed opera great Maria Callas is such a terrible likeness, many are panning it as more representative of a Star Wars character like C-3PO than the famed soprano.

The widely panned piece unveiled in Athens, Greece, shows the superstar in a cape, with her arms crossed and her hair in a bun.

Callas was also known for an affair with Aristotle Onassis and a lonely death from a heart attack at age 53.

Bison once roamed the Great Plains by the millions. Today they roam coastal Carolina by the one.

A baby bison caused a stir Friday when it was seen wandering outside an elementary school in Brunswick County, NC.

The majestic animal was quickly captured and returned to its new owner, who said he had just purchased it days earlier.

A cat and a guinea pig are bosom buddies and an odd couple.

Now a North Carolina animal shelter is looking for a loving family to adopt both of them together.

Angel, the cat, and Halo, the guinea pig, often cuddle together in the corner of their cage. Handlers are wary of separating them.

Pumpkin records are meant to be smashed.

Another one was pulverized this week, with a giant Ohio gourd staking its claim as the world’s largest. The prize pumpkin weighed in at 2,164 pounds and was grown by Todd and Donna Skinner of Barnesville.

Uh, oh, urine trouble now! A Canadian pissed off police when he called a 911 emergency hot line in Ontario saying he was stuck in traffic and had to relieve himself.

The caller first asked for an ambulance, then said he had to pee. The 911 operator was initially incredulous, but when the pee-brain persisted, the phone dispatcher said there was nothing he could do and hung up.
