Two corpses found downtown

The body of a man in his 50s was found Saturday on a fence near Police Headquarters in lower Manhattan, authorities said.

The unidentified body was discovered slumped on the fence in James Madison Plaza at 7:30 a.m., the NYPD said. The fence is located near the back entrance of NYPD Headquarters

at 1 Police Plaza.

The body had several small neck lacerations, cops said.

“There was no kind of struggle or trauma,” an NYPD spokesman said, adding the city medical examiner would determine the cause of death.

About a half-mile away, the body of a 40-year-old man was found at the South Street Seaport Saturday morning.

The unidentified body was lying face up on a bench at around 11 a.m. at Pier 11, near South and Wall streets, lawenforcement sources said.

Foul play wasn’t suspected.
