4 shot at ’Bama HS stadium
Four people have been shot at a high school football game in the same Alabama stadium where 10 were shot two years ago.
At least one of Friday’s victims was in critical condition after the gunplay shortly before 10 p.m. at the Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile.
As shots rang out, screaming fans rushed from the stands on one side of the stadium and players on the field dived for cover.
Mobile police posted a photo on Facebook early Saturday of a group of “suspects of interest.”
Police Chief Paul Prine said three of the shot individuals were male, one female, and two were juveniles.
Among the questions Prine said would be investigated is how a gun made it into the stadium, where metal detectors were installed after the 2019 shooting.
