Former President Bill Clinton is expected to be released from a California hospital Sunday after five days of treatment for a urological infection, a spokesman said Saturday evening.

Clinton, 75, was to spend another night on Saturday at UC Irvine Medical Center, where he was making “excellent progress” and will continue to receive intravenous antibiotics before his expected discharge Sunday, Clinton spokesman Angel Ureña said.

“He is in great spirits and has been spending time with family, catching up with friends, and watching college football,” Ureña said.

Clinton, 75, was visited by wife Hillary, daughter Chelsea and son-in-law Marc Mezvinsky, accompanied by Secret Service agents.

Clinton never went into septic shock and did not receive intensive-care-unit treatment — even though he was staying in the ICU, mostly for privacy.

President Biden said the former commander in chief was “doing fine” after speaking with him Friday.

“He’s not in any serious condition,” Biden said at an event in Connecticut .
