Standing Up to China’s Bullying

White Rock, Canada

As The Post said, G-7 nations are too scared to jeopardize their countries’ exports, and big companies need the Chinese market (“Beijing’s Not Impressed, Joe,” Editorial, June 19).

Corporations have seen the Communists tighten the noose around foreign corporations’ necks in China, and they just say, “More, please.”

If companies don’t

wake up now, it will be hard to stop China in the not-so-distant future. Harry Ruffalo West Palm Beach, Fla.

It seems to me that before China might be successfully compelled to do anything, the compelling force must first possess a

consumer base comparable with that of China.

Perhaps some securely allied nations combining their resources could sever trade/investment ties with China if they traded necessary goods and services between themselves. Frank Sterle
